Miss Lady
This summer my oldest daughter volunteered as an intern at the local vet office. While she was working there and man came in looking for someone to give a good home to a 22 year old broodmare. Now she belongs to Meagan. Aside from some poor nutrition that caused her hooves to crack, and an allergy to something, she is doing fine. We have done some work on her hooves and got them headed in the right direction and a few more months should be looking good. She is about 17 hands tall and has pie plate sized hooves. She is due to have her foal in late October. After our last experiences with foals, we are being ultra careful. We make her wear a grazzing muzzle so she cannot eat any fescue and have her on bermuda hay and 10% sweet feed. She is already bagging up and making milk so her birthing is coming soon.
