  Compact Tractor Services

I'm looking at buying a compact (JD, NH or MF) in the 25-30 hp range to help take care of my 10 acres. Would also like to hire it out to help pay for it. Would have a loader, blade, tiller, chipper, etc. Do any of you do this sort of work with your tractors? What can you charge as an hourly rate? I'm in eastern Virginia.

last year I paid $30/hour to get my pasture mowed with a compact tractor. I live in Oklahoma City and we had a tornado last year which has increased the demand for construction and tractor work. This year the same work is about $40/hour. I suspect the price you can charge will be regional. Incidentally, the tornado had windspeeds in excess of 300 miles/hour and I stood on my patio about 4 miles away from it in the sunshine with no wind and watched it. It looked like a huge grey metal funnel. The most amazing thing I have ever seen and I have been to a few goat ropings and wild cow milkings.
