 Setting up a plow

I am trying to find a post I saw earlier giving a detailed description of how to set up a plow on your 3ph. I am not sure if it was this particular forum. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

 Setting up a plow

I remember a good description from Bird. I looked through his posts here and there are quite a few but the ones with 'plow' in the title weren't the thread I was thinking of.

Kay seems to know this plow setup buz pretty well and maybe she'll comment.

I guess it's moldboard plows that you're interested in.

 Setting up a plow

Matthews: I was surfing last night for the same information and down loaded a manual. I have it on my system at home and can email it to you as a attachment tonight or tomorrow if you would like it. I found it to be pretty in depth and has lots of pictures.( I like pictures) helps to better understand what the text is trying to discribe.

E9-livin: Sure, I'd love to see a manual. There is quite a bit of discussion about this process in my old (1957) John Deere Farm Machinery book, but I recall that the posting I was looking for was very practical and straightforward. Thanks.

 Setting up a plow

I bought a used J D moldboard plow that did'nt have a manual. I took the model no. and serial no. to the dealer, the parts dept. ordered me a new one. My plow is probably 25 yrs. old, I don't know how far they go back in years, but whatever brand you have I'd try the dealer.

 Setting up a plow

This is an interesting link. Starting on page 13 of the PDF file, it has a plowing troubleshooting guide.
