Instant Garage
I started this thread for the other "instant garage" thread. You used "'s in the title and the software does not like it and will not allow any replies so I replied below as follows:
I have one that I purchased from Homier. It is not of the highest quality but for the money spent, I would say that it was very much worth it. I put mine up over a year ago and it is still standing. The rope they supply with it breaks down into dust after about 3 months and I had to replace it with good quality rope but that was small change. For a temporary shelter at low cost; they deliver the value you would expect and provide an economical alternative to a more expensive permanent structure. They DON'T like much if ANY snow and do best sheltered as much as possible from high winds. I have a picture of the one I put up in my pictures (#18) I never have installed the sides and ends yet. I plan to do that this summer.

I guess for $200 you cant expect a real building. If it lasts for a year, its really cheap.I have to park the NH in a wooded area,so birds and tree dirt are an issue.I think Ill give it a shot.

I've used a 25' x 14' arctic shelter for going on 6 years. It was supposed to be temporary.
The tubing is smaller than 2" but it has withstood all winds and snow loads since it went up. The cover likely is more durable than rip-stop and the all-weather version allows the shelter to remain up year round in southern areas. However, it is described as snow proof rather than rain proof (does pretty good in the rain though) Life expectancy of the cover is about seven years. Mine likely would be between 2 and 3 times the price but I think it has been worth it.
The shelter went up in an afternoon. The cover has wide aprons and gravel is used to weight it. I bought the optional anchors as well. I'd check by-laws before buying one. Some places restrict the size of this type structure or require building permits.

I bought a shelter king last year it went up easy and seemed to be a good deal. After about 9 months the cover started disintigrating. I called the company and they told me they were aware of the problem and that some bad covers went out by mistake. They quickly sent me a replacement cover that was obviously better quality. Now I will have to see how long this one will last. They say 7 years, but I have my doubts.
